Good for gaming, you can definitely hear footsteps behind you in FPS games if you're trying to listen out for other players.Only major complaint which also applies to the HD202 and these EH-150s is the long cord, although it appears sturdy, ALL of my four headsets have cut out early over the course of two years through daily usage due to the cord getting run over repeatedly by my computer chair or random tugging that can occur through normal computer usage. I've been a Sennheiser headphone user for around 8 years, mainly using them with my PC for gaming purposes and music listening. For some odd reason it's always the right ear piece that cuts out too with an unstable connection.Overall, very solid pair of headphones, worth it especially for its low price range. Cord is long and accessible, perhaps too long and could be made more durable. These particular headphones supposedly boast a difference over the other popular HD202 set with Hi-Fi Stereo but to be honest, I don't hear the difference. Since their only a few more dollars more expensive than the HD202s, I've bought myself another pair since my previous one's right earpiece cut out and I'm too impatient to wait for warranty service.Great headphones for listening to music for sure, and the music comes crisp and clear but I am no audio expert by any means.
The sound is great, the stay firm against your head and don't slip off. Your head feels like your in a headlock for the first 5 minutes. And you can forget they are there. But when you take them off, your ears feel a little sore. And with average sized ears, one would assume that the cans would cover my ear completely, unfortunatly they do not. Value for your money, these are a great pair of headphones. However, don't expect them to fit perfectly on your head. The way you adjust these on your head is the deciding factor in that.
These are for you. Then you get use to it. They do a good job of blocking out other noise, although they are not noise cancelling. But these are great headphones, I'm keeping mine as I still like them very much. But, it does come at one expense. And they are not adjustable at the top, you can slide the cups up and down, but not make the headphones themselves wider. So for your money, I'd say there is not a better set of headphones for you. I have an average size head, so my ears are average size to, as I was fortunately not born a mutant of any kind.
Which is off, because at first you think something is attacking your head, but after awhile, you forget they are even on your head. But, these are for active use, so if you needed to go biking, running, jumping or just sit around by yourself and head bang to Metallica's "Ride the lighting" album. Either the edges of your ear are getting smushed to your head or your earlobe. So, if you do have a larger head, I would actually steer away from these.
Note to Sennheiser: make headphones for normal-sized ears and heads. Sadly, they are broken now.Overall, not a smart buy on my part. They become very uncomfortable after extended use. PLEASEEdit: After more listening, the sound has really come through. headphones, but it didn't blow me away. I am disappointed in these headphones and myself.
If you have normal sized ears, STAY AWAY. Unless I decide to have ear reduction surgery in the future. I read the reviews here on Amazon that warned me about the small earcups, but I went ahead and ordered the headphones anyway. My pair of Maxell DHP-II sound a little better and are much more comfortable. They may not be comfortable, but these headphones do sound great. Please do not make the same mistake as me.
The sound is pretty good for a pair of [.].
They are not something that could be worn for a long duration (over an hour) unless you have really tiny ears. Great sounding headset for the price. The ear cups, while nicely padded, only sit on the ear and do not surround the ear like some headsets do.
But the highlight of these headphones is the incredible sound. Every time I use them, I'm impressed with the sound. I've been a disc jockey for a little over a decade now, so I've had my share of headphones. My problem with most headphones in the past has been a lack of bass response, but these deliver. So if you're looking for great sound quality in a pair of headphones you can wear comfortably for hours, these are a fantastic product. I wanted a set for just listening to music while I work out and these fit the bill. They're lightweight and fit comfortably without being too tight.
